Imaging the Anatomy of Parkinson's Disease

Speaker: Dr Marco Catani, Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London.

After unfortunately losing our speaker, Mr Ludvic Zrinzo, to the important demands of the operating room, Dr Catani rose to the occasion and gave an excellent talk to the Clinical Neuroanatomy Seminar group on imaging and Parkinson’s disease. We are very pleased to be able to put this talk online for you to enjoy.

Dr Marco Catani heads the Natbrainlab team at the Institute of Psychiatry, and is also a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital. Dr. Catani has pioneered the use of novel neuroimaging techniques to examine networks underlying language, vision, and spatial awareness. He has contributed to the development of neuroanatomical models of cognition and behavior, and to the elucidation of the anatomic basis of cognitive and neuropsychiatric disorders. He has recently released a book, the ‘Atlas of Human Brain Connections.’ In 2012 he was awarded the Norman Geschwind Prize for Neurology.
