Dr. David Rudrauf, Research Associate at the Grenoble Institute of Neuroscience, France, will be speaking about his work on the cognitive resilience (e.g. self-awareness) to severe or irreversible brain damage. This neurological and neuropsychiatric phenomenon challenges current ways of thinking about structure-function relationships. Dr. Rudrauf will be presenting part of his work on the causal role of brain systems in large-scale cognitive networks based on human lesion methods and will discuss problems of re-routing information streams following fibre tract disconnection.
