This talk considered the neuroanatomical basis of musical perception, based on clinical cases of acquired amusia. It also explored the phenomenology of the developmental disorder, Congenital Amusia, exploring the pitch perception, pitch memory and timbral abilities of these individuals, as well as the evaluative aspects of the disorder.
